You need to update your password in order to keep using PlaneWOT, for security reasons. More information at the bottom of the page.

Why do I need to change my password?

Basically, there is two reasons:

  • I want to know which accounts are active - I don't want to keep updating accounts that aren't used anymore
  • I have implemented more secure password hashing method, that withstands better brute forcing, specially with weak passwords (however please use strong one anyhow)

Noticeworthy is that you don't actually need to change your password, you may keep old password. Just type in the "New password" field your old password and that is that.
